Linux: SSH

  • Login – from the card, usually root. Port 22.
  • From Windows – ssh in PowerShell, or PuTTY.
  • First connection – answer yes to the server key fingerprint question.

Windows: RDP

  • Client – Remote Desktop Connection (mstsc) on Windows, the Windows App on macOS and phones.
  • Address – the server IP, port 3389.
  • Login – from the card, on Windows usually Administrator.
  • Certificate warning – click Connect.
Windows is available from VPS-2: Locations and OS.

No access

  • Console – a button on the card: log in through the browser when SSH or RDP does not respond. Fix the firewall or SSH from inside.
  • Forgot the password – Reinstall issues a new one but wipes the data. Need the data – write to @lumisup_robot.
  • Changed the password with passwd – the card still shows the old one, log in with the new one.
