Card

  • OS – the installed system.
  • Plan – CPU / RAM / NVMe.
  • Location – the server country.
  • Server IP, User, Password – login details, copied with a tap. How to log in: Connection.
  • Expires in – days left.
  • Renewal price – per month.
  • Status – Provisioning, Active, Expiring, or Expired.
  • Refresh – while the server is being set up, management is hidden. The button checks whether it is ready. The bot sends the login details by itself, usually within a few minutes.

Buttons

  • Renew – pick a term: the bot shows the price, the balance after the charge, and the new date. The amount is charged to the balance.
  • Restart – a hard reboot.
  • Stop / Start – power the server off or on.
  • Reinstall – pick an OS, the bot installs it from scratch. Wipes all data and issues a new root password, the new details arrive in the chat within a few minutes. More: Locations and OS.
  • Console – the server web console in a browser, for when SSH or RDP is unreachable. The link is single-use and valid for a couple of minutes. Some servers have no console, then the bot suggests SSH.
  • Transfer – hand the server over to another user, details below.
  • Upgrade – opens support, an operator changes the plan.
  • Delete – deletes the server with its data and snapshots, it cannot be restored. Unused time is not refunded.
No Restart and Stop on the card – reboot the server from inside: reboot on Linux.

Root password

  • No separate button – change the password on the server itself with passwd. The card keeps showing the old one.
  • Forgot the password – Reinstall issues a new one but wipes the data. Need the data – write to @lumisup_robot.

Rental term

  • Reminders – 7 days before the end of the term and less than a day before it.
  • No auto-renew – renew with the Renew button. A term of 3 months or more is 20% cheaper.
  • Term expired – you have 7 days to renew. After that the server is deleted with its data and cannot be restored.

Transfer

  • Recipient’s Telegram ID – numeric, not an @username. The recipient must have started @lumivps_bot at least once.
  • Accept / Decline – buttons on the recipient’s side. The request is valid for 24 hours.
  • Cannot be transferred – a server that is still being set up or has an operation running.
  • Root password – stays the same, the previous owner knows it. The recipient should change the password or reinstall the OS.

Through support

@lumisup_robot: a bigger plan, an extra IPv4, a PTR record.
